Have you ever made something for someone and seen their face light up in excitement, appreciation, or confusion? It’s an interesting feeling, mostly good, sometimes stressful, but always rewarding. I grew up in Colorado, both on the plains of the east and in the mountains of the west. Of course that means I was lucky to have some of the most gorgeous natural scenery to enjoy at work and school. However, taking pictures using several iterations of Samsung phones over the years left me wanting more. My first step into the modern camera scene was the purchase of the small but mighty Canon M50 Mk2. That little camera (and the slew of lenses I managed to collect) opened up a whole new world of opportunities. I expanded my interest past landscape photos into portrait, family, and my new favorite: street photography. I’ve been able to meet some wonderful people from all walks of life through events or by simply walking around town with my camera clipped to my shoulder. From learning how to frame shots to figuring out the post editing software, photography has taught me a lot and continues to do so. I hope to keep doing this fulfilling work for a long time.
